Head of Business Development
The Company Located in central Manchester Ying De Group are an innovative fast growing investment platform offering UK businesses the opportunity to directly access Chinese capital through a network of private and corporate investors. Since inception in 2013, the platform has successfully invested over 30 million across a variety of sectors and is actively engaged with over 200+ businesses seeking growth capital. Working directly with UK SMEs , business support services , financial intermediaries and funding organisations Ying De offer award winning financial solutions tailored to the particular circumstances of individual clients. The group are seeking to appoint a Head of Business Development with experience of working with UK SMEs and extensive knowledge of the finance and professional community to capitalise on growth opportunities. The successful candidate will work within the existing Ying De business development team and will be responsible for the generation and conversion of new business opportunities. The role is supported by a staff of over 30 colleagues, mostly of Chinese origin, separated into 6 departments focused on different aspects of investment projects.
Key responsibilities: Direct report line to the Operations Director Growing the business, finding new opportunities, persuading clients to purchase Ying De’s services. Set up BD annually/monthly target and plan, writing proposals and specifications Lead the BDD team in achieving its targets Crafting training programs Conduct performance management and disciplinary Conducting workshops / presentations Reviewing contract with potential new clients Collaboration with the other department and business partners Following up VIP new business opportunities and investors Managing and developing a network of introducer relationships, including identifying and persuading new target intermediaries
Requirements: Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential Mandarin Chinese speaker A positive attitude and superb negotiation skills Have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced financial services or banking environment A deep understanding of UK funds rising market is ideal but not essential Have experience in bridging and development funding for UK SMEs Demonstrate an active network of key professional introducers including brokers, developers etc Have experience in team management (more than 5staffs). Ability to take initiative and also work as a team A bachelor's degree is needed, but a MBA degree will be preferred Work experience: Client Relationship Management 3 years or Team Management:3 years · Experience working in a busy, deadline driven international business working environment · Strong interpersonal skills · Ability to multitask and priorities
Required license or certification: Driver's license prefered
