Live-In Au Pair Plus in London
From October 2011
We are a very happy and easy-going family looking for an au pair plus. My husband and I have 2 daughters (8 and 6 years old respectively) and a 4 year-old son. We live in a unique flat conversion and have a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom in a separate wing for the right person. We are 10 min from Brixton tube and train station and travelling to central London is less than half an hour.
We are looking for a warm, friendly and responsible au pair plus to come live with us for at least a year. Ideally, we’d like some one who’s at least 25 years old and can speak and understand English. I am Chinese myself and would welcome any Chinese-speaking candidates to apply.
During term time, your typical hours would be 7 – 8 am and 3 – 8 pm. During the holidays and half term, you will be required to work full-time, unless we are on holiday or the children are away at their grandparents (usually at least once a week). Your duties will also include babysitting up to 2 nights per week.
Your au pair duties would include cooking meals (for the children), school pick ups, taking them for their various extra-curricular activities, helping them with their homework, light housework, ironing and general mother’s help with errands and shopping. Ideally, you should have a UK driver’s licence and is a confident driver.
We pay a set salary of £120 to £160 depending on whether you are happy to do the cleaning as well. Food is of course provided.
