Logistics & Warehouse Manager: Full Time, ￡40,000.00 gross per annum
Key Responsibilities
Day to day warehouse management, with a focus on staffing and duties, resource planning, and employee relationships;
Staff training and development;
Manage relationships with external contractors for aspects of facilities management;
Work closely with other departments to improve functions, such as Transport, HR, Inventory Management, Sales, and Retail;
Assist in the implementation and maintain the operational use of a new WMS within the warehouse operations;
Be responsible for Health and Safety matters within the warehouse;
Develop warehouse and distribution strategies that support the medium and long-term strategy using the ERP system;
Gather and analyse internal and external information to develop a distribution strategy that considers customers' current and future requirements in the UK and Europe, and company growth plans;
Develop models and conduct analyses to identify service and cost improvements;
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders;
Perform other special assignments and duties as may be required.
Person Specification
Strong working knowledge of WMS, Excel, and Word is required;
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role;
Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment that is full of ambiguity;
Excellent man-management, communication and listening skills, culturally sensitive to the different nationalities who work within the business;
Can do, will do approach to solving problems that arise.
