About us Dragon Estates is a newly established and fast growing residential property estate agent, covering sales and lettings for local residents, as well as nationally. We are regulated by The Property Ombudsman Services and follow their code of practice. Duties As an intern property sales/lettings negotiator, you will be a mixture of, marketing, sales and negotiation: - Convincing prospective clients that Dragon Estates is the right one to handle their sales or letting, and agree a price and the terms of the sale. - Arranging advertising and other ways to promote the property in our window, in newspapers, online and through 'for sale' boards. - Sending out details of new properties on the market to people on our database who are looking for that type of property. - Making appointments and showing buyers around a property, pointing out its best features and answering any questions. - Finding buyers in a position to proceed with purchase and willing to pay an acceptable price. - Referring buyers to mortgage arrangers for quotations and advice. - You will specialise in residential houses and flats, and in letting and managing properties. Hours and Environment You will usually work part-time or full-time from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday in our Woolwich office, southeast London. You may also need to meet clients and perspective client outside of normal working hours. You'll be based in an office, but are likely to spend a lot of time visiting properties and showing prospective buyers around. Skills and Interests This is an excellent opportunity to gain industrial experience in the real estate sector. No experience required, but you should be: - An excellent communicator. High fluency in English is a must. - A good negotiator. - Able to inspire trust and confidence in clients and buyers. - Able to work under pressure. - Smart and business-like. - Degree education is preferred, but not essential. - Driving license and own car is an advantage but not essential. Training Dependant on good performance, you might be sponsored for training under NAEA’s (National Association or Estate Agents) Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management and the examination-based Certificate in Residential Lettings and Management. You could also become a member, associate or fellow of the NAEA, depending on your qualifications and experience. With experience, you could become a senior negotiator or manage a department. Compensation You will be paid a subsidy for lunch/transport. Successful sales will also lead to a high level of commission.
